Additional information and guidelines for our users

1. Child Policy: Children under 15 years are not allowed to participate in Gorilla or Golden Monkey trekking as per Rwanda Development Board (RDB) regulations.
Children of any age may join cultural tours, game drives, and some nature walks, depending on activity rules. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children’s behavior throughout the trip.

2. Health & Fitness Policy: Some activities require good physical fitness, including Gorilla trekking, Hiking, Canoe or boat tours, Nature walks

Clients must: Inform us of any medical conditions before booking, carry personal medication, follow ranger or guide instructions strictly, we are not responsible for health issues arising from undisclosed medical conditions.

3. Luggage Policy: To ensure comfort and safety: Soft bags are recommended for safari vehicles, Extra-large suitcases may be restricted, Weight limits may apply for internal flights, Clients are responsible for securing their luggage and valuables.

4. Photography & Media Policy: During tours, photography rules are controlled by: National parks, Cultural communities, Local authorities, Clients must: Avoid photographing military sites or restricted areas, Ask permission before photographing local people, Respect wildlife viewing distance rules, By participating in our tours, you give Shalom Safaris Rwanda permission to use photos or videos taken during activities for marketing, unless you request otherwise in writing.

5. Safety & Conduct Policy: Clients must: Follow guide or ranger instructions, wear appropriate clothing and gear, Respect wildlife and nature, Avoid reckless or unsafe behavior, we reserve the right to deny participation in an activity if safety is compromised.

6. Community & Cultural Respect, shalom Safaris Rwanda promotes responsible tourism. Clients must: Respect local customs, Avoid offensive behavior, Participate in community visits with sensitivity, Support community guidelines and local regulations, Harassment, discrimination, or disrespect toward communities will not be tolerated.

7. Environmental Responsibility: We are committed to protecting Rwanda’s natural heritage.
Clients are expected to: Avoid littering, Stay on designated paths, Not disturb wildlife, Follow “leave no trace” principles, Avoid plastic waste where possible

8. Alcohol & Substance Use: Excessive alcohol consumption before activities (especially trekking) is prohibited, Illegal substances are strictly not allowed. Clients under the influence may be denied participation for safety reasons.

10. Complaints & Feedback: If a client experiences an issue: Report it immediately to the guide or staff. If unresolved, contact the management team via WhatsApp, email, or phone. Complaints submitted after the tour will still be reviewed, but immediate reporting gives better chances of resolution. Your feedback helps us improve our services.

11. Force Majeure (Uncontrollable Events): We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by: Natural disasters, Strikes, Pandemics, Political instability, Government actions, Unavoidable conditions
